Now you may have heard me mention Kristal's stamps a time or two but here is a little more information! Each of Kristal's stamp sets benefit charity. At least $1 per stamp set goes to benefit the charity noted on the stamp set package. Kristal is donating to the following charities: Cancer Angels, Storefront Shelter for Homeless Children, Intrepid & Fallen Heroes, E. Glaser Pediatric AIDS  Foundation, Doorways Shelter for Women & Children (Domestic Violence), Wayside House for Women, Camp Good Days & Special Times, Adopt a Classroom, and Autism Research Institute. Kristal will donate $1 for every stamp set sold, retail or wholesale to the charity noted; and over time believes this will add up to some wonderful miracles for these special people. So you can feel good that each time you purchase a K Andrew Designs art stamp set, someone around the country is receiving some good help!

K Andrew's stamps are all made and assembled here in the USA, which is very important to Kristal. Santa is "The Original Red Hatter" my friends! Red Hatter is also a stamp from Fashionable Friends. I printed "The Original" portion off of my computer. Link Up the Love Party - Getting Cricky

Hello Friends! Tomorrow is Wednesday which means we are half way through the week. I don't know about you but these days are just flying by! Thanksgiving will be here before we know it! There are a couple things I want to remind you of! This weekend there will be a Getting Cricky Blog hop. Starts Friday and goes all weekend. Lots of amazing project and prizes as well! Be sure to hop over to that! Second is this weeks Getting Cricky Challenge. This will go until Sunday at midnight. You can enter a project on the Getting Cricky Website that has to do with Tea Time. I posted my project earlier so if you have a chance take a peek at that and be sure to check out the other projects that have been posted. Lots of cute ideas!

Okay now on with today's info! :) Getting Cricky has another event that started today and will go until next Tuesday (11/22). It is called Link Up Love Party! It is a great way to meet others in the bloggie world, and find great new project ideas! For this you get to create a project that has to do with Thanks/Blessing. It is a great time to give Thanks! I wanted to share with you my project and then I will give you a little more information about the PARTY :)

I thought I would make a Thank You for my in-laws for having us over for Turkey day. They have us every year and my mother-in-law makes a big feast! I thought this would be a great way to thank her. I used the Turkey from the Little Critters Cartridge and the Thanks for a great day is actually from two of Kristal's Stamp Sets. I used the words Thanks for from the fashionable friends set. The actual words were Thanks for your support. I just covered up the words your support. The second part is from Food for Thought. The original saying was It's a great day! I just put a little tape over it's and made this little creation!
I have so many things to be thankful for this year and I can't wait to count my blessings with my family!

Okay so here is what you need to do to LINK UP THE LOVE :)
Link Up Love Party: How it Works

*Link Up Party runs from Tuesday 11/15 to Tuesday 11/22. Winners announced 12/20 at next Link Up Love party.
*Grab Kristal's blinkie and post on your blog's sidebar
*Be a follower of Kristal's blog
*Create a new blog post that is titled Link Up Love Party with K Andrew. In your post, you must mention that the link up love party is a way to get to know each other and find new blog inspiration, mention my blog, with a link back to Kristal's blog .
*Post your favorite project that you've done in your blog post THAT HAS TO DO WITH THANKS/BLESSINGS!! That could be a card, layout, treat holder or decoration.
*Copy and paste the link up code into your blog post so the Inlinkz will show up on your blog
*Spread the word so everyone can join in!
*You must visit, follow, and comment on the 5 people before you AND the 5 people after you in the Inlinkz. It would be fantastic if you would visit as many as you can--maybe everyone? If you are one of the first 5 then you will need to blog the ones before you and a few more after--as long as it's a minimum of 10 near you in the link up tool/gadget)
If you do not do the above your link will be deleted, because it's just not fair to those who work so hard linking up and showing love to the ones on the list. I have two moderators who will be checking this out to keep it awesome and fun!

Link Up Party: Giveaway! A FULL year subscription to the best scrappy magazine out there: Creating Keepsakes for TWO lucky followers who Link up and play correctly. Winner will be announced December 20th at next Link Up the Love Party so make sure you come back to see if you won!!!! Remember, if you don't claim your prize within ONE week, it goes back in to the pot!

So link up your projects and have loads of fun! Can't wait to see what you all come up with! Have a great one y'all!

Decorate to Celebrate Month Long Birthday Party - Guest Designer

Hello and welcome to this fabulous Wednesday! I am doing a guest designer spot for the Decorate to Celebrate Month Long Birthday Party for Rhonda and Amy!
In case you missed it...  This month Rhonda and Amy are CELEBRATING their birthday's ALL MONTH LONG (so you'll have ALL month to enter your projects at Decorate to Celebrate!!)...  Also for THIS month (and this month ONLY), they are opening up the challenge to ANY project (yes, this means you can enter a card or a layout too!!)...  Because of this, they have limited the number of entries to a MAXIMUM of THREE -- you can enter up to THREE projects this month for your chance at the Birthday Presents!!  A little birdie told me that there would be one of Rhonda's minis, one of Amy's explosion boxes, and several other FUN prizes thrown into the mix!!  I am sure you have seen Amy's explosion boxes and Rhonda's minis! They are simply fabulous and you would be SOOOO lucky to have one! So get working on those projects for YOUR chance to WIN!!

Okay so I am going to show off a little work I did for my son's 5th birthday! We decided to do a Batman theme. I purchased the Batman Brave and the Bold Cricut Cartridge and had fun creating... I am a little bummed because I was so busy occupying 20 kids that I did not get more pictures so I will show you what I have! :)

These were the birthday invitations. Not sure if you can read it well or not but it says
The Riddler is tricky don't make a mistake.
He has stolen the candles off
Noah's birthday cake.
But you can help Batman recover
the candles by answering
this riddle I know you can handle;
How old will Noah be when his birthday arrives?
Just think of a number that rhymes with "dive"
The answer is ______
Help Batman and Noah find his birthday candles

and then lists all the birthday information.
The backdrop behind the vellum is a city outline with a bat signal... pictured here :)

I made this back drop of what was suppose to be Gotham City... I tried hard but it did not come out the way I wanted and I used a lot of spray paint... I did not think it would take that much but wow I used about 9 cans on this small little section!

Okay so this is a little hard to see but this was a game called stomp out the villains... If you look close you can see the little one on the right side of this picture stomping a silver balloon. I took balloons and filled some with candy and I left some empty. When we brought out the balloons we explained to the kids they were to stomp out the villains and they would get a prize! I had taped some pictures of Batman and Robin on some of the balloons and villains such as the Joker, Riddler, Mr Freeze and The Penguin on others. The kids had so much fun stomping the villains!

For a little down time we played a game of Bat, Bat, Joker (much like a game of duck, duck, goose!)

We even had a surprise visit from BATMAN himself! My sons face was just priceless when he showed up.

No because the information said that the Riddler had taken the candles off my son's birthday cake Batman was there to help. I had placed green cards with question marks on various places outside (like the pool, trash cans, the jungle gym) and gave them riddles as to where they could find the birthday candles! They had so much fun hunting for the candles!

Here are some of the kiddos from the party with Batman... some were to hungry to take a picture with Batman and they just ran off to eat!

Oh this is another picture from the villain stop. We also played a game of Mr. Freeze Dance where we would play music and when the music stopped they had to freeze!

Here is Noah's birthday cake. I wish I had gotten more pictures of the food. I had themes for most of it. I had Cat Claws (buggles), Posion Ivy punch (green punch) Penguins Chips and Dip (Served these is a top hat upside down), Bat Pops (cake pops) Alfred's Gourmet hamburgers... oh there was more. I had also purchased yellow plastic ware and wrapped it in a black napkin and made my own napkin rings with a yellow piece of paper and a bat on them... OH HOW I WISH I WOULD HAVE HIRED A PHOTOGRAPHER ;)

Ha! Well I hope you enjoyed the Batman Birthday! Be sure to hop over to Decorate to Celebrate and check out their month long celebrations if you have not done so already! Enjoy your day everyone!

Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge - Tea Time

HELLO! Okay so my New Years Resolution is to get better about posting and I have just the reason to do it now! I have made the Getting Cricky Junior Design Team! I am sooooo excited and greatful to Kristal Andrew for this opportunity. As you know I LOVE her stamps and love to use them on any and every project I can. They are amazing stamps made right here in the US! Fabulous right? It gets better. For all of the different stamp sets she has, Kristal has picked a charity (that she has researched) to give money to. So for each set she sells she gives $1 to the charity! She truly is an amazing, talented and given person. I am blessed to call her my friend! So be sure to check out her stamp sets!!!

So I created a new little card using her Fashionable Friends stamp set. Here is the set!

K Andrew Designs

Lots of fun to be had with this set! And her sets are all so versitle and easy to use with any project!  With the sales of this set $1 per set goes to Cancer Angels to help Stage 4 level Cancer patients. Cancer Angels gives atleast 95% of all monies raised to the people in need. AMAZING :)

Okay so for my project!

I used just a plain Jane piece of blue paper for the backround. The snowmen came from the Christmas Cheer cartridge as did the coffee mugs. I added a little glitter glue to style up the snowmen and to add snowflakes to the back drops. The stamp saying is "Old friends never go out of style!" The ribbon is from a dollar bin at Target from over the summer.

This card goes along with the theme for this weeks Getting Cricky Challenge. The theme is Tea Time!
Challenge Requirements:
  1. Post any Tea Time project of your choice & link up by 11/19/2011
  2. Post as many projects as you want that fit the criteria

Decorate to Celebrate Birthday Hop

Happy Wednesday everyone! The week is half over! Today I have been asked to be a Guest Designer for Decorate to Celebrate.  Amy and Rhonda are celebrating their birthday's all throughout the month of November! The fun thing about it... After the hop has ended, you'll be able to create a "Birthday Party" themed project and LINK IT UP at the Decorate To Celebrate challenge blog!! Usually, your entry needs to be a decoration or party supply, but THIS MONTH (and this month only), you can link up ANY Birthday Party project (cards, layouts, 3D Art...). They will be giving out some Birthday Presents all month long, but you'll need to enter to WIN!! You'll find more details on the challenge blog.
Rhonda and Amy have assembled great line up for this Birthday Party Adventure through Bloggie-Land... Along the way, you'll find some incredibly creative projects to celebrate Rhonda and Amy... So be sure to check out the Decorate to Celebrate Blog to follow all the amazing projects.

Okay so I really really hope Rhonda does not take offense to this because it is intended to be fun. (I am sure she won't as she seems to have a good sense of humor, and honestly I did not know you were going to be 50 until I read it, you don't look a day over 29 ;).) While I was trying to come up with a project I was looking at my stamps from  Kristal Andrew Design and got the idea of the Ol' Bag and went with a fifty year old birthday party. It was kind of fun coming up with this and different things you can do with it. So here are my projects....

I made up a few of these bags to put candy in (it would be cute to do those candies popular when the person who is turning 50 was younger) The letters are cut using the Mickey Font cartridge.
This is the invitation to the party. I took a bag and cut half off the top off. I used my Mickey Font Cricut Cartridge for the lettering

For the invitation I took brown paper and place a pink polk-a-dot paper over it. Then I printed out the invitation wording on velum. I took a hole punch, made holes and added the ribbon to the top.

Using the Mickey Font Cartridge I made the number 50 and traced it on to the bag and cut it out.

I then made this into a luminary. Sorry it does not look better... they are cuter in real life then the picture.

For gift bags I took a bag and added the saying "From one ol' bag to another" from Kristal Andrew Designs Fashionable Friends stamp set.... the word thanks is also from this set also but I had to take it from a full saying and just ink the Thanks part of it.

So there you have it. There are my decorations for the 50 year old ol' bag birthday party! :) There is so much more you could do with this theme just using paper bags... Lots of fun! A Very Happy Birthday to Amy and Rhonda and thank you for allowing me to be a guest designer during your fun celebration!

I hope you enjoyed the projects! Thanks for stopping!! Now jump over to Decorate to Celebrate to find the rest of the projects. Be sure to enter for your chance to win one of the cool birthday presents they are handing out!!

PS Be sure to check out Kristal Andrew Design for her amazing stamps. They are all made right here and a $1 from each set sold goes to a charity that Kristal has personally researched. They are amazing stamps and extremely versatile! :)

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween my bloggie friends.... Oh wait that was yesterday! Well I am sorry I did not post yesterday but I was side tracked with all that my little monkey's had going on! We had lots of fun this Halloween season. My monkey's got to dress up four different times. It was kind of nice since you put all that money into a costume for them to wear one night for an hour or two! I think they got great use out of these costumes though and will have fun playing dress up in them for a while. So I made some craft treats for the kids to take to school and some to hand out last night and I thought I would share them with you.

I made these for last nights Trick or Treaters (all two of them that we got, good thing I made up fifty bags right? brother...) I mad the pumpkin from the Little Critter Cricut Cartridge and used a the stamp Orange you... fun from Kristal Andrew Design's Food for Thought Stamp set. And the Happy Halloween was a stamp set I picked up in one of those bins (Not great quality but I could not get Kristal's Fall-o-ween stamp set so I had to make do with this!) I just love Kristal's stamps... yeah I know I go on and on about them in my blog... but seriously look at how much you can use them for lots of different things! She has some amazing new sets out as well. Be sure to check them out (http://kandrewdesigns.com/)
Look how cute they look flowing out of my bucket... Such a shame more kids did not get them!!

I made these for my little monkey's play group. There is a wide range of ages in the playgroup so I thought goldfish would be better then candy! I used Kristal Andrew Design's Splashtastic summer stamp set for the Fishing you a... See what I mean about the versatility of her stamps?

SO cute :) Got lots of compliments from the parents. My husband just looks at me and laughs and asked me why I can't hand something out that is just plain jane... WHAT FUN IS THAT?!?!?! I love putting special touches on things! SO much more fun!

Well that is all from me today my bloggie friends! Hope you have an amazing day. :)
