Cabin Fever Pre Blog Hop - Thurs.

Hey all you friendly bloggie peeps ;) Happy Thursday to you all! I hope this finds you well and excited for whatever today may bring. I am pretty excited that we are having day 2 of temps in the upper 40's and can't wait to go for a walk and get some fresh air!!! I even thought about opening all the windows in the house and airing it out but I may have to wait until it reaches at least 50 for that!

Today is the 4 day in the Pre Blog Hop! I have been fun checking out all my Design Team sisters and amazed by all the creative things they have come up with! It has been fun using only one Cricut Cartridge this week and having fun making cards. I love my K. Andrew Stamps to go with all the fun cards I have been making and today is no different! Today along with my Locker Talk Cricut cartridge I used my Crafty Friends Stamp Set. It has some of the funnest (yes that is a word) sayings! I LOVE IT!

So here is my card for today

I took the sentiments ROFL!, LOL and Blog and stamped them all over the back to create my background. I cut the computer at 3 inches and the banner is also from the Locker Talk cartridge and is cut at 1 1/4 inches.

Here is a close up of the banner sentiment...

All of these fabulously funny stamps came from the Crafty Friends Set! I highly recommend adding it to your collection if you don't have it yet!

Well that is all for me today. I will have a post tomorrow morning with one final project and then tomorrow night is the CABIN FEVER BLOG HOP! Can't wait! See you all there.

Cheers,
Heather

Simply Sunday Challenge 2-12-2012 Wedding Bells Are Ringing

Well good morning my bloggie friends! I hope you are all doing well on this fine Sunday (or whatever day you may be reading this!). Today is the start of a new Simply Sunday Challenge over at Getting Cricky. I love the title for this weeks Challenge... it is Wedding Bells are Ringing. My husband and I have been married a few years now and I still have yet to do out scrap album... Mind you I have paper, stickers and the album bought plus about 150 of my favorite pictures printed but do you think I would get around to doing it? Well this week I completed my second page for the album. (I do scrap but I have a hard enough time keeping up with my five and three year old kids scrapbooks let alone our wedding.) But I love the way this new page turned out and SINCE the theme for today is Wedding Bells I thought it was the perfect time to share it with you. And of course what project would be complete without a little K. Andrew Stamp to bring the whole project together.

For today's project I used the Crafty Friend's Sentiment pictured here....

Don't have this stamp set? You should check it out at K. Andrew Designs!

Anywho... here is my scrap page....

The paper is a open stock paper from Michael's and I could not tell you where the heart chipboards came from because I have had them purchased since shortly after our wedding. I belive they were from a smaller shop that is no longer around sadly. The love is cut from the Cricut Cartridge Stamping. And the pictures are of course from me and the hubby's wedding day.

Here is a close up of the stamp I used from Crafty Friend's Sentiment. The stamp actually reads "All you really need is Love... and a lot of paper" but I just covered up the "and a lot of paper" part and it fits so well into the scrap page.

This is just a little close up of the chipboard and word Love I cut from the cricut.

I hope you have enjoyed my scrap page! Now it is your turn... have a wedding/engagement or anniversary project you would like to enter in the Simply Sunday Challenge? The rules are simple...
  1. Post any Wedding/Engagement/Anniversary project of your choice & link up by February 25
  2. Post as many projects as you want that fit the criteria
  3. Make sure Kristal's blinkie is up on your sidebar, and your blog post entry is linked back to Kristal's blog Getting Cricky
  4. Leave a comment at Getting Cricky website under the Simply Sunday Challenge
  5. HAVE FUN & spread the word!
  6. The winner will receive a surprise K Andrew Designs stamp set
See simple right? I hope you enter and I can not see what you have created! Please don't forget to visit the other wonderful Design Teams projects! All the girls work so hard and we all appreciate a little bloggie love! Well that is all from me until next time.

All my bloggie best,
Heather

Each of Kristal's stamp sets benefit charity. At least $1 per stamp set goes to benefit the charity noted on the stamp set package. Kristal is donating to the following charities: Cancer Angels, Storefront Shelter for Homeless Children, Intrepid & Fallen Heroes, E. Glaser Pediatric AIDS  Foundation, Doorways Shelter for Women & Children (Domestic Violence), Wayside House for Women, Camp Good Days & Special Times, Adopt a Classroom, and Autism Research Institute. Kristal will donate $1 for every stamp set sold, retail or wholesale to the charity noted; and over time believes this will add up to some wonderful miracles for these special people. So you can feel good that each time you purchase a K Andrew Designs art stamp set, someone around the country is receiving some good help!

K Andrew's stamps are all made and assembled here in the USA, which is very important to Kristal. This ensures all product materials are safe and that jobs are being provided and maintained here in America.  You can learn even more about Kristal's stamps (and pick some up for yourself) by visiting her online store: K Andrew Designs:

Kristal's stamp sets are perfect for cards, layouts, and so much more...

For my project, I'm featuring the Crafty Friends Stamp Set

PLUS if you use the code heatherfreeship you get free shipping for the weekend! AWESOME!

Okay now to pass along my project... here is the Crafty Friends stamp set I used...

I used the word love to stamp and emboss on the back of the red paper I had from Hobby Lobby. I created half in black hearts to place around. The two pictures of my belly are from a pregnancy photo shoot my friend Julie did just one week before my son made his appearance.

I used the stamps from Crafty Friends to say
Ready...

Set...

Love...

I thought this was a fitting way to use the stamps and show you that you can use them for ANYTHING! You just have to think outside the box and stamp a little differently. When you do you have hours upon hours of fun!!!
This just gives you a close up of the embossing and little black hearts

I hope you have enjoyed my layout as much as I enjoyed making it! Now on to the BLOG CANDY! Cause lets face it, we all love some blog candy! Okay so as I said before this Hop concludes a week long adventure in using K. Andrew Stamp Sets. Please be sure to check out my other projects from this week. Week of K. Andrew Design Stamp Projects Day 3

Hello Hello! And a good Tuesday to you all! I hope you are doing well. Today is day three of the Getting Cricky Week long Stamp project where we create a new project using one of K. Andrew stamps everyday until our U R So Sweet Blog Hop on Friday. I hope you have enjoyed following me and my Design Team sisters so far. I know I have had fun checking everyone's projects out and coming up with fabulous new ideas. If you have not had a chance to check out my first two projects please take some time and have a look. I will be giving out some blog candy at the end of the week. One lucky person will win a K. Andrew Stamp Set and the other will get a key chain with interchangeable magnets from my friend Julie at Say Cheese Designs.

I just wanted to mention again that Kristal is such an amazing person and I am so blessed to be on her design team! It has been so much fun getting to know the rest of the design team and create a little family with them. Kristal has the biggest heart. She does the stamps on the side and teaches full time. Because of her amazing heart  EVERY single package of stamps that you order goes to help CHARITY. Kristal researches her charities VERY carefully, and each one of them gives at least 85% or more directly to the people in need. Many charities give as little as 5%, but she wanted to make sure that the money she donates goes to the people in need, so 85% or more is what you will see from the charities she has chosen.
This is NOT a limited time deal. As long as her stamps are in production and for sale, $1 from EVERY single set will be donated!

The stamp set I have been using this week, Crafty Friends goes to benefit Kristal's "Signature Charity": Storefront Shelter to help children in need. She has arranged to send 1.00 from every single one of her stamp sets to benefit the Children's Shelter in San Diego, CA, where each night this organization takes to the streets in search of homeless children. This organization is called Storefront Shelter, and is located in San Diego, CA. Each month, she will be donating the money raised to Storefront. She has a very low profit margin, but I believes REAL work in this world is to do good, and she can think of no better way than to help a child. Isn't she amazing? So by purchasing this stamp set you will be helping a child in need as well.

Okay....On to today's project.

Today I made a little card for my facebook friends...
This saying just cracks me up. I used Food for Thought for the "HeY!" and Crafty Friends for the "Don't make me defriend you".  Isn't the saying funny? I could not think of a better character to say it then Mike from Monsters INC. Mike was cut from the Best of Pixar Cricut cartridge. He was cut at 3 1/2inches. The word bubble came from George and Basic Shapes.

Like the stamps sets you see used here today? Go here to order them
 Crafty Friends

 Food for Thought

Well on to today's way to enter for the Blog Candy. As always I would love for you to follow my blog but it is not required. Please leave me some bloggie love in the form of a comment and on that comment I would love for you to visit K. Andrew Designs and tell me which one of Kritsal's stamps sets you would like to get.

Week of K. Andrew Design Stamp Projects Day 2

GOOD MONDAY TO YOU ALL! Hope you had a fabulous weekend! I know I had a great one with my family. Today is day 2 of our week long Stamp Designs with K. Andrew Design stamp sets! In case you are just stopping by today and did not get a chance to see yesterdays project please check it out!  My fellow Getting Cricky Design Team sisters and I will be featuring one set of K. Andrew's stamp sets this week and coming up with projects all week long leading up to the BIG U R So Sweet Hop this weekend. Are you as excited as I am??!?!?

I hope you have had the chance to stop over and visit K. Andrew Designs and see the amazing stamp sets Kristal has to offer. She is such an amazing person. Not only are her stamps made right here in the US but at least a $1 from each stamp set goes to a charity Kristal has researched. There are some AMAZING stamp sets and charities that are being supported by these sets. This week I am featuring the crafty friends stamp set. I love this stamp set because I have so much fun blogging and the sayings just crack me up. It is super fun and goes well with lots of different projects! Here it is....

For today's project I made a layout using the Pooh and Friends Cartridge.

I love the way this turned out. I used the Besties and Stars from the Crafty Friends Stamp set.

Here is a closer look at the stamp set.

Cute right? I know. :)

Okay so I want to do a little blog candy this week. So I am going to do a giveaway... I am going to do two giveaways! I am going to giveaway a stamp set and a key chain and magnet set from my friend Julie at Say Cheese Designs. In order to get into the giveaway I would love for you to comment on each day of the projects and tell me your thoughts and each day I will have a different little thing for you to do each day. Today I would like you to visit my friend Julie at Say Cheese Design and tell me which button/magnet you would love to have from her store! Who knows you just might get it!

Want to order some of K. Andrew Designs Stamps? Now is the time to do it. Enter the code heathershipfree and you will have free shipping this week! You know you want to! :)

Simply Sunday Challenge - Let it Snow/U R SO SWEET Week long fun DAY 1

Hey all my bloggie friends! Today is an exciting day! Today we are starting a week long crafty adventure at Getting Cricky... The challenge (well more like the fun) is to use one set of K. Andrew Design Stamp Set on a weeks worth of projects! I LOVE THIS IDEA! Although I could come up with a lot more then a weeks worth of projects from any of the stamp sets because they are so versatile and loads of fun! But not only do we get to do this but it is also SIMPLY SUNDAY CHALLENGE FUN DAY! This weeks Simply Sunday Challenge Project is Let it Snow using embossing. Fun right? I will explain how you can participate after I show you my projects.

Well I just have to say this first I am VERY new to the whole embossing thing so please excuse the lack of ability to do this well. But here are two cards I made up for this weeks challenge...

Since the theme this week is "Let it Snow" I even went outside and took my pictures in the snow we finally got this week. And boy did we get a lot... no more long fall for us. On to the shovel and boots!
Okay anyway... This was my first card. The sentiment came from K. Andrew Design Crafty Friends Stamp Set. I will be using this stamp set all week long to show you how much CRAZY FUN you can have with it (or just plain fun if you do not like to get CRAZY like me).  The saying reads "Bloggie Friends are the Best Friends". This sentiment is so fitting!! I have been making so many new and wonderful Bloggie Friends and they truly become your family! I love my bloggie friends! :) The Snow people came from a Close to My Heart Stamp Set called Snow Friends. The embossing powder is Zing from American Crafts. The background paper is just something from my scrappy pile.

My second card I like a little more. I was getting a little better at the embossing process... not much but a little! The snowflakes in the back as well as the snowman is from the same Close to My Heart stamp as above. Again I used the AMAZINGLY fun Crafty Friends stamp set. The ribbon is from Michael's. GLITTERY FUN!  You have to love that.

This is the AWESOME K. Andrew Design stamp set I used. It is Crafty Friends. I think this set is so much fun. I love my blog... it is like my own little world and everyone knows me here :) haha. But the sayings are just to much fun. :) Especially if you are a blogger! Want to Order it? Check it out HERE

So these are my Simply Sunday Challenge Fun projects. Think you would like to participate in this weeks Simply Sunday Challenge? Here are the requirements...
Post any "Let it Snow" project of your choice & link up by 1/14/12 at Getting Cricky
Post as many projects as you want that fit the criteria
