Simply Sunday Challenge 3-25 - Easter Blessings

HELLO BLOGGIE FRIENDS! Today is Sunday and you know what that means... yep it is time for a new Simply Sunday Challenge over at Getting Cricky . So this week I was SUPER excited because I ordered three new sets of K. Andrew Design Stamps Sets. They arrived on Friday and I was SOOOOOOOO Pumped to play! I love them. I will be honest I ordered because Kristal release a new set call of Of Mice & Lil Men. This new stamp set thrilled me! If you have not seen it yet check out the website! It is a lot of Disney sayings and I LOVE DISNEY! But well I was ordering I figure I may as well get a couple more sets. So I also ordered In the Family and All about Animals and oh my GOSH! I am going to have soooo much fun playing! I am in love with all three sets and there is so much I can do with all of them! You have to check them all out if you have not! I love ordering from K. Andrew Design because I know all the stamps that I order are made right here in the USA and $1 from each set goes to charity! If you do not know Kristal oh my gosh that girl is soooooo amazing! I love her to pieces!

So for the Simply Sunday Challenge I got to use one of my new stamp sets. I LOVE IT!!!

Here is what I made....

The background paper is from Hobby Lobby. The bunny is cut at 5 inches from Create a Critter Cartridge and the pink and purple "box" was cut from Storybook cricut cartridge and was cut at two inches. I love the sentiment! Don't you? It is from the All about Animals Stamp set.

I decided this bunny need to stand out so I put him on a spring!

Okay so this is a little hard to tell but this is the spring I put him on. He looks so cute moving around all springy like ;).

On the inside of the card I used the sentiment "loves you" which is also from the All about Animals stamp set.

I love this card and can not wait to send it off to my friend for Easter!!!

This is the AAAAAMAZING stamp set I used!!!

It is called "All about Animals" and you can purchase it HERE!! So hop to it and go order! It is a must ;)
Alright I would love to know what you think so if you have a chance please leave me some bloggie love!

DISNEY WORLD AUTOGRAPH BOOK -

Hey Bloggie Peeps! I am super excited to have some crafty time today. We had a lazy Sunday family morning and so I decided to get out my paper! I love my paper :) It just makes me smile and squeal with excitement! Today I took some time out to make a autograph page for one of my Getting Cricky design team sisters who is taking her little munchkin to Disney! (I am super jealous and yet super happy for her). I soooo can not wait to take my kids to Disney! Although most Midwesterners want to take their children to Disney World I want to take my kiddos to Disneyland! I grew up in Southern Cali and have some great memories of my trips to Disney. Plus I still have family and friends out there some of which have never had the chance to meet my kiddos and I would love to introduce them!

Okay enough about me! I tend to babble! ;) And this is about Jessie not about me! Okay so Jessie is taking her little munckin to Disney World and my fabulous Getting Cricky Design sister Shawn is doing a Autograph Book Challenge! I am super excited about this! What a fabulous idea!!!

So here is what you gotta do!!!

1) Autograph book page must be 8 ½” in length and 5” in height.
2) Leave a LARGE AREA of clear space for the character to sign the page.
3) Don’t place the character images too close to the edges of the page in case she would like to bind this book later on.
4) Post completed page on your site and link it to the Challenge at http://craftychicsblog.blogspot.com/
5) Email Shawn (click HERE) with the subject “Autograph Book Challenge” and I will send you Jessie’s mailing address.
6) Projects must be completed and mailed by May 1, 2012 so that Jessie will receive them before she leaves for her trip to Disney.

FUN! Right? So I got out my Micky and Friends and started playing!!! Here is the first one I came up with...

I cut Minnie at 3 1/2 inches and the large flower is cut at 2 iches and the smaller flowers at 1/2 inch.
AND WHAT WOULD ONE OF MY PROJECTS BE WITHOUT K. ANDREW STAMPS... BORING! (Okay I will stop yelling now ;)) I used the Fashionable Friends Stamp Set! And well of course it is now as the sentiment says "Simply Fabulous"!!

Here is what the set looks like...
Fun right? You know you want to go order it... it is okay! You can! Just click HERE!!! It is Kristal's best seller right now! And just like a best selling book you MUST OWN IT ;)

Okay  so if you want to enter this challenge hop on over to Shawn's page and do it! Let's make the best autograph book for this munchkin so she always remembers her trip to Disney!!

That is all from me for now. Enjoy the beauty in each wonderful day!

Getting Cricky "In Like a Lion Out Like a Lamb" Blog Hop

Welcome to the "In Like a Lion Out Like a Lamb" Getting Cricky Blog Hop!!

Wow Getting Cricky Fans it is already the third weekend in March! Where does the time go?
We're so happy you could join us for this month's Getting Cricky Design Team Blog Hop!!  This month we have special Blog Hop ideas for that old saying "In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb".
If you've hopped along from the stellar Lisa then you are in the right place!! If you are just joining me from your dashboard, or reading this via email, please be sure to CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Kristal's blog (you'll want to catch up on all the FUN!!)...

By now you all know how much the Design Team loves and adores K. Andrew Design Stamps! I just wanted to remind you each of Kristal's stamp sets benefit charity. At least $1 per stamp set goes to benefit the charity noted on the stamp set package. Kristal is donating to the following charities: Cancer Angels, Storefront Shelter for Homeless Children, Intrepid & Fallen Heroes, E. Glaser Pediatric AIDS  Foundation, Doorways Shelter for Women & Children (Domestic Violence), Wayside House for Women, Camp Good Days & Special Times, Adopt a Classroom, and Autism Research Institute. Kristal will donate $1 for every stamp set sold, retail or wholesale to the charity noted; and over time believes this will add up to some wonderful miracles for these special people. So you can feel good that each time you purchase a K Andrew Designs art stamp set, someone around the country is receiving some good help!

K Andrew's stamps are all made and assembled here in the USA, which is very important to Kristal. This ensures all product materials are safe and that jobs are being provided and maintained here in America.  You can learn even more about Kristal's stamps (and pick some up for yourself) by visiting her online store: K Andrew Designs: WARNING!!! WARNING!!! WARNING!!! Kristal Andrew stamps can be highly addictive and habit forming!  The good news is they are GREAT for your health and bring your stress level down several notches!!! SO GO ORDER SOME!!! YOUR HEALTH WILL THANK YOU!! ;)  Haahaa... check out Kristal's newest stamps!! And may I just say before you look that I am in love with all three sets and have them on order and SOOOO can not wait until they arrive in my mailbox so I can play (I have three projects already set they are just awaiting the stamps!)

This is "All about animals". How fun are the sayings? You know you could use this on some fun projects that would make anyone smile! And the great news... THIS SET IS SHIPPING NOW! So hurry up and order!!

This is "In the Family" perfect for family cards, showers anniversaries or you know just a card about how wonderful life is! :) This stamp set is shipping now! So be sure to get yours!!

And introducing the news stamp set to the family...
"Of Mice & Lil Men" Now if you are a Disney lover your mouth is probably drooling at this point! I know mine was when I saw it! I could not wait to order!!!!! This set is now on Preorder and will ship around the 5th of April! I AM TELLING YOU NOW!!! Pre-Order this set because it will be going fast!!!

So what do you think? Pretty fabulous sets huh? Yeah I think so too! Well hopefully you waited to see my project for this hop before heading off and ordering!

Being from the Midwest I am truly hoping the statement "In like a lion out like a lamb" is so not true because if you reverse it and it is "In like a lamb out like a lion" we could be in for the biggest snow storm I have ever seen! We have been breaking crazy heat records. Today's high here in Wisconsin was 79 degrees (well at least here where I am at it was)! That is crazy for mid March!!! So I am hoping this is still considered "In Like a Lion" because it is HOT HOT HOT!  And I am enjoy this "Sun-sational" weather!
Which brings me to my card....

Isn't the lion cute? I cut him from the Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge at 3 1/4 inches. The mane is made out of ribbon I got from Walmart and cut at different sizes. The Sun is also cute from the create a critter cartrdige at 2 inches, the background paper is from scraps I had and the stamp is from of course K. Andrew Designs. It is called Splashtastic Summer. It is loads of fun and with Summer right around the corner it is a great set to own! Here is what you would see on this set....

Okay have I gone on long enough for you?!?! I am sure I have, so now it is time to send you off to the next Design Team Sister the amazing Amanda!

Enjoy the Hop and your weekend y'all! And if you get lost along the way here is a little help from your friend! Until Next Time!

Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge 3-11

Hello Bloggie Friends! I hope you are doing well on this FINE Sunday! Hope you didn't forget to Spring your clocks ahead an hour. I love that we "spring" our clocks forward because it means it is SPRING! And I love everything about Spring, the birds chirpin', the sun is out longer, no more snow (although this has been an amazingly calm winter) and of course the flowers blooming! I don't really like the losing an hour of sleep and trying to get the kiddos into the new routine though. Takes a little while for them to adjust. But I will get over it because it is SPRING :).

Okay enough of that soapbox! I am excited because today is the Simply Sunday Challenge over at Getting Cricky. Fun right? Well this week's challenge is about 3 colors. You must use the Green, white and one other color of your choice. So me being the IRISH girl that I am thought SWEET! I will make something that is Saint Patrick's Day! So I was messing around trying to come up with ideas. I was looking at digi's online because my amazing Design Team sisters have been using them and they are so stinkin' cute I wanted to give it a shot. There are some super cute ones out there too, and free I might add. But then it hit me! A little craft for my kiddos to take to school! So I came up with this.....

I made this little hat... with a surprise inside. I will be honest it was harder then I thought using just the three colors. I wanted to use some gold so badly!!! But I got it to work. The structure of the hat is a toilet paper roll to make it sturdy. I cut the bottom circle and put a card underneath the green to make it a little stronger. Then I took the toilet paper and a green piece of card stock (cut to the roll size) and hot glue gunned the paper down. I cut a little off the top of the hat (a little less then an inch) because the toilet paper roll stood a little to tall for my desired hat height. Then I used the hot glue gun and glued around the bottom of the toilet paper roll and attched it to the circle. I cut a little circle for the top of the hat (I used a little glue on this but did not glue it all the way so that I could add a special treat). I used my Stamping Cricut Cartridge to cut the shamrocks... the small ones are cut at 1/2 inch and the top one is cut at an inch. I used a strip of scrap black paper and added that to the bottom along with a little white square for the buckle (I so wanted to use Gold but what can you do? Rules are rules ;)) And wellll---ahhhh (if that is how you spell it, sounded right in my head) my little IRISH hat is finished. But of course what would a project be if I did not add a Kristal Andrew Designs Stamp? It will just be blah! So I used my wonderful Fashionable Friends stamp set (which by the way is her number one seller right now so if you don't have it YOU NEED IT! ;) ) and added the sentiment "Hats off to you". See it does add a ton of life to the project don't you think? Yeah me too!

Well enough of my babble! It is your turn to enter the Simply Sunday Challenge!!!
Here is what you do...

Challenge Requirements:
  1. Post any Green, white and one color of your choice project of your choice & link up by 3/24/12

  5. HAVE FUN & spread the word! (We love it when you scream Kristal's name of Getting Cricky from the roof tops)
  6. The winner will receive a surprise K Andrew Designs stamp set!! (Lucky Ducks! These Stamps Rock)

Heather

Welcome the “Getting Cricky With It” Surprise Blog Hop for Kristal!!!

Today the Design Team is bringing you some very special projects created for our wonderful and amazing leader Kristal! Our term is almost over and we wanted to show her just how much we appreciate ALL that she has done for us this term. The projects that we will be sharing with you will also be sent to Kristal. We encourage ALL of her fans to join in on the fun as well! Be sure to add your card/project to the link below and then be sure to mail it off to her!

If you've hopped along from Patti from Pattie Lynn Creations (http://www.pattilynncreations.blogspot.com/ ... sorry my links are not working for some reason) then you are in the right place!! If you are just joining me from your dashboard, or reading this via email, please be sure to CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Kristal's blog (you'll want to catch up on all the FUN!!)... You can learn even more about Kristal's stamps (and pick some up for yourself) by visiting her online store: K Andrew Designs:

I am so excited and so blessed to be on the Getting Cricky Design Team this fall. It has been the most amazing experience and I love the Design Team girls. They become like your second family. I am soooo Thankful to Kristal for allowing me to be a part of such an amazing team! So as my way of saying thank you I created Kristal a little owl... if you know Kristal you know she LOVES owls. When I send it off I will also be sending her a Starbucks card because we all know she loves her some Starbucks! :)
Can you believe I made this out of a toilet paper roll? I have to admit I saw a picture of something like this on Pinterest and just fell in love with it. I used a solid green paper to cover the roll and then I used Accent Essentials to create the feathers and the eyes. The eyes were 1 1/4 inch for the white and 1/4 inch for the black dots. I cut the arms with a heart cut at 2 inches and all the feathers are hearts as well that were cut at 3/4 inches. I thought he turned out pretty care cute (or I guess she with all the pinks and purples)

I took a little piece of paper and added "I could just squeeze you" from the Food for Thought stamp set!

Sorry it is blurry. Did not look like this on my camera!

Here is the stamp set I used.
Be sure to check out K. Andrew Design and order a set for yourself today!

Well that is all for me today bloggie friends. If you would like to add up a project for Kristal add your inlinkz below.
Until next time,
Heather

Just like you pringles (once you pop, you can't stop) Once you buy and stamp you want more!

Kristal's stamp sets are perfect for cards, layouts, and so much more...

Plus right now if you buy $25 in stamps you will get the Mini Heart Bonus Set for FREE!! SO CHECK THEM OUT!!!!

Okay so now onto my CABIN FEVER project....
For this project I used the Locker Talk Cricut cartridge and Food for thought stamp set.

So I started off with this pail. I picked it up from Hobby Lobby for 6.99 plus my wonderful coupon of 40% off! Gotta love that!

And this is what I turned that pail into...

I found the paper at Hobby Lobby. It was in a vaule pack and I had used a couple pages for something else and never knew what to do with this paper until now! I LOVE IT! It has all the little things to make a hamburger.

This is the lid a little closer up. I cut the hamburger from Locker Talk and cut it at about 4 1/2 inches.
The little banner says "Sandwich your day with fun" which I think is a great sentiment for what is inside the pail!

So I made this a fun little Cabin or Car Fever Reliever pail.

I used the top of the pail on the inside and made a magnetic tic tac toe board! The nice thing about the magnets is you know you can keep the pieces all together and they don't move.

Then I put some fun little things to play with and some snacks. The ideal things for a fun car ride or fun things to do when you are stuck inside!

So what do you think?? I hope you like it!

Okay friends. So here is the deal.. I had been sick for a bit and forgot to post the winners from the last hop... so here they are....
Sunshine HoneyBee (a.k.a) Melissa you have won the coffee and tea treats stamp set by K. Andrew Designs.
AND
Karen L you have won a magnetic key chain and magents to go with from my good friend Julie at Say Cheese Design!
Ladies please send me a message with your address! And congrats!

Okay so for Cabin Fever blog candy  I am going to give out another retractable key ring and some magents to go with. Please check out my friend Julie's page and let me know two of the magnets you would like to have! Say Cheese Design!

Well that is all from me for now! If you have not checked out my week long projects please do so! I had lots of fun with the Locker Talk cartridge and K. Andrew stamps! Hope you all have fun hoping along tonight!

Now you can hop on over to your next stop: The FABULOUS Jessie at Sugarlips Sassy Surprise......

I used the Coffee and Tea Treat stamps to create the Drama part. I know everyone has a little drama in their lives so I thought it would be a fun card to share with someone.

You can order this stamp set HERE

Alright short and sweet today kids. I have two little preschoolers running a muck in my house so I better go see what is left of it! See you tonight for the Cabin Fever Blog Hop!!!

Cabin Fever Pre Blog Hop - Thurs.

Hey all you friendly bloggie peeps ;) Happy Thursday to you all! I hope this finds you well and excited for whatever today may bring. I am pretty excited that we are having day 2 of temps in the upper 40's and can't wait to go for a walk and get some fresh air!!! I even thought about opening all the windows in the house and airing it out but I may have to wait until it reaches at least 50 for that!

Today is the 4 day in the Pre Blog Hop! I have been fun checking out all my Design Team sisters and amazed by all the creative things they have come up with! It has been fun using only one Cricut Cartridge this week and having fun making cards. I love my K. Andrew Stamps to go with all the fun cards I have been making and today is no different! Today along with my Locker Talk Cricut cartridge I used my Crafty Friends Stamp Set. It has some of the funnest (yes that is a word) sayings! I LOVE IT!

So here is my card for today

I took the sentiments ROFL!, LOL and Blog and stamped them all over the back to create my background. I cut the computer at 3 inches and the banner is also from the Locker Talk cartridge and is cut at 1 1/4 inches.

Here is a close up of the banner sentiment...

All of these fabulously funny stamps came from the Crafty Friends Set! I highly recommend adding it to your collection if you don't have it yet!

Well that is all for me today. I will have a post tomorrow morning with one final project and then tomorrow night is the CABIN FEVER BLOG HOP! Can't wait! See you all there.

Cheers,
Heather

Cabin Fever Pre Blog Hop

Hi Friends! Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday. I am loving this winter we are having. It was almost 50 today here! That is unheard of in Wisconsin for mid February! LOVE IT!!!!

So today is day 3 of the Pre Cabin Fever Blog Hop! Are you as excited as I am to hop around with Kristal and the Design Team! I know I am! I love these girls and have had a blast working with them. I have made some great life long friends and I am BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE!

So in case you forgot this week we have all picked a Cricut Cartridge to work with. I picked Locker Talk. Although I bought it a while ago I have never used it and let me tell you I AM LOVIN IT! (No that was not a plug for McDonald's). But you know what makes this cartridge so great? The fact that I can use my K. Andrew Design stamps and make the project sooooo much better!

So here is my card for today. This could work as a pick me up card or it could work for birthday. Either way I like the way it turned out!

I cut the star burst and the camera at 3 inches. The paper is something I picked up at Michael's.

Here is a close up of the fabulous saying... "Say Cheese" which is from the food for thought stamp set.

Interested in purchasing this stamp set for yourself? Check it out HERE. Lots of fun corky sayings to play with! I promise you will love it!

All  right that is all from me tonight my friends! See you tomorrow with another fun little project! Don't forget about FRIDAY! I can't wait!!!
Toodles,
Heather

Pre Blog Hop Post Day 2

Hey all my bloggie friends! Hope you are having a fabulous Valentine's Day! I am know I am. My kids and I have been having a blast all morning.

Today I am excited to share my next project with you for the Pre-Blog Hop! Again the challenge for this pre-blog hop was to use one Cricut Cartridge for the entire week and show off the wonderful stamps by K. Andrew Designs. So this week I am using the cartridge Locker Talk.

Here is my card....

I found this paper (both the background and the flower paper for the car) at Michael's and fell in love! I knew I had to make something fun and funky with it. The car is cut from Locker Talk like I said. I made it at 3 1/2 inces.

The saying is from Splastastic Summer stamp set and the stars are from Crafty Friends stamp set. Want to check them out you can click on the stamps names and it will take you right over to K. Andrew Designs website and you can purchase them right there! THEY ARE FABULOUS! They are made right here in the US and a portion of each stamp set goes to benefit a charity Kristal has personally researched. I LOVE MY K. ANDREW STAMPS! Just in case you did not already know!

Well that is all from me for now! Don't forget to join us for the Cabin Fever Blog Hop this weekend!

Thanks all,
Heather
Here is a picture of Splastastic Summer... I know you are looking at it and your mind is going crazy with the endless possiblities you could use it for! Go on, go buy it. It would be a great Valentine's Day gift to yourself!!!

Getting Cricky Pre hop!

Hey Ya'll! It is a special time for the Getting Cricky Design Team! It is time for the monthly Getting Cricky BLOG HOP! Yahoo! You know you are excited! The hop will start this Friday but this week we are going to be gearing you up for the hop! We have each picked a different cricut cartridge and we are spending the week creating projects for you using K. Andrew Design stamps and the cricut cartridge of our choice. This week I picked the locker talk cartridge to use for my projects! So here is the first of my projects!!

LOL! Okay I soooo don't know what the heck is going on. I have flipped this picture a couple times and I have nooo idea why it is saving like this. So you may have to use your taco neck (you know, how you bend your head when you eat a taco so all the good stuff does not fall out!) (I am laughing because I am secretly imagining how you are pretending to hold a taco and realize I am right you do bend your neck when you are eating a taco hehehe...) Okay so not that you have bent your neck out of shape, my card was made using the Locker Talk Cricut cartridge like I said before. I cut the fries at 4 1/2 inches. I then used K. Andrew Food for thought stamp set.... pictured here!

I love this stamp set! It is one of the first ones I bought and it just goes with soooo many different projects. If it is not part of your collection it really should be! Not sure what you could use it with? Well have you ever checked out http://www.mycricutsearch.com/?? IF NOT AND YOU OWN A CRICUT YOU ARE SERIOUSLY MISSING OUT! You can access this site and find a cut that you need in seconds. Simply Sunday Challenge 2-12-2012 Wedding Bells Are Ringing

Well good morning my bloggie friends! I hope you are all doing well on this fine Sunday (or whatever day you may be reading this!). Today is the start of a new Simply Sunday Challenge over at Getting Cricky. I love the title for this weeks Challenge... it is Wedding Bells are Ringing. My husband and I have been married a few years now and I still have yet to do out scrap album... Mind you I have paper, stickers and the album bought plus about 150 of my favorite pictures printed but do you think I would get around to doing it? Well this week I completed my second page for the album. (I do scrap but I have a hard enough time keeping up with my five and three year old kids scrapbooks let alone our wedding.) But I love the way this new page turned out and SINCE the theme for today is Wedding Bells I thought it was the perfect time to share it with you. And of course what project would be complete without a little K. Andrew Stamp to bring the whole project together.

For today's project I used the Crafty Friend's Sentiment pictured here....

Don't have this stamp set? You should check it out at K. Andrew Designs!

Anywho... here is my scrap page....

The paper is a open stock paper from Michael's and I could not tell you where the heart chipboards came from because I have had them purchased since shortly after our wedding. I belive they were from a smaller shop that is no longer around sadly. The love is cut from the Cricut Cartridge Stamping. And the pictures are of course from me and the hubby's wedding day.

Here is a close up of the stamp I used from Crafty Friend's Sentiment. The stamp actually reads "All you really need is Love... and a lot of paper" but I just covered up the "and a lot of paper" part and it fits so well into the scrap page.

This is just a little close up of the chipboard and word Love I cut from the cricut.

I hope you have enjoyed my scrap page! Now it is your turn... have a wedding/engagement or anniversary project you would like to enter in the Simply Sunday Challenge? The rules are simple...
  1. Post any Wedding/Engagement/Anniversary project of your choice & link up by February 25
  2. Post as many projects as you want that fit the criteria
  3. Make sure Kristal's blinkie is up on your sidebar, and your blog post entry is linked back to Kristal's blog Getting Cricky
  4. Leave a comment at Getting Cricky website under the Simply Sunday Challenge
  5. HAVE FUN & spread the word!
  6. The winner will receive a surprise K Andrew Designs stamp set
See simple right? I hope you enter and I can not see what you have created! Please don't forget to visit the other wonderful Design Teams projects! All the girls work so hard and we all appreciate a little bloggie love! Well that is all from me until next time.

All my bloggie best,
Heather

Okay now to pass along my project... here is the Crafty Friends stamp set I used...

I used the word love to stamp and emboss on the back of the red paper I had from Hobby Lobby. I created half in black hearts to place around. The two pictures of my belly are from a pregnancy photo shoot my friend Julie did just one week before my son made his appearance.

I used the stamps from Crafty Friends to say
Ready...

Set...

Love...

I thought this was a fitting way to use the stamps and show you that you can use them for ANYTHING! You just have to think outside the box and stamp a little differently. When you do you have hours upon hours of fun!!!
This just gives you a close up of the embossing and little black hearts

I hope you have enjoyed my layout as much as I enjoyed making it! Now on to the BLOG CANDY! Cause lets face it, we all love some blog candy! Okay so as I said before this Hop concludes a week long adventure in using K. Andrew Stamp Sets. Please be sure to check out my other projects from this week.
